Days Out Warwickshire Things To Do Warks UK

The historical county of Warwickshire lies in the heart of England in the Midlands region, and is known worldwide as the birthplace of William Shakespeare, from Stratford-upon-Avon. Warwickshire has also produced other writers such as George Eliot.

The county is also home to two magnificent medieval castles - Warwick and Kenilworth, as well as Royal Leamington Spa, visited by Queen Victoria during the 19th Century. A statue of the Empress of India still stands in the town, having survived a bomb blast in the second world war.
