Sussex

Days Out Sussex & Things To Do South East UK

Sussex is a traditional county in South East England that covers roughly the same area as the ancient Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Sussex. The county is nowadays divided into East Sussex and West Sussex, as well as Brighton and Hove, which was given city status in the year 2000.

The county consists of hilly high land such as The Weald, and the South Downs which has many dry valleys, including Devil's Dyke. Both are popular with ramblers. There are also several traditional seaside resorts in Sussex that are well worth a visit.
