North Yorkshire

Days Out North Yorkshire & Things To Do N York UK

Yorkshire was divided into north, east and west by Danish invaders in the 9th Century. North Yorkshire is by far the largest of the divisions. The county is rich in historical treasures, including the medieval city of York, home to the impressive York Minster, the biggest gothic cathedral in Europe.

North Yorkshire offers some of the most varied and dramatically beautiful countryside in England. The Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors are both National Parks with great walking tracks. The dramatic coastline has towering cliffs that are home to many seabirds.
