Days Out Norfolk & Things To
Do East Anglia UK
Norfolk is a low-lying rural county in
the East Anglia region of England .
It has borders with Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk to the
south. Its north eastern boundary is the beautiful unspoilt
North Sea coast, including The Wash, one of the biggest river estuaries
in the UK.
The Norfolk broads are a man made stretch of open water that was created
in the 12th century by the excavation of peat
for fuel. Over time the water rose, making the
tranquil rivers, lakes, marshes and nature reserves that are now a haven for
holiday makers.
