Hertfordshire

Days Out Hertfordshire & Things To Do Herts Home Counties UK

Hertfordshire is an inland county in England, lying just to the north of London. Due to its close proximity to London, much of south Herts is a commuter belt. In contrast, rolling farmland makes up the north of the county.

The top tourist attraction in Hertfordshire is Hatfield House, a fine Jacobean house surrounded by beautiful gardens. Many people visit Hatfield House to see where Queen Elizabeth I spent her childhood, some to see where parts of the film 'Lara Croft' were shot.
