Days Out Cambridgeshire & Things To Do Cambs UK

Most of Cambridgeshire ‘s 1,300 square miles are covered by the Fens - a rich and fertile agricultural landscape divided up by drainage ditches. Once it was all a big marshland inhabited by hunters, farmers and fishermen who scraped a living on the small areas of higher ground. Today most of the Fens have been drained but at Wicken Fen, one of England's earliest nature reserves, part of the wetland is preserved.

Cambridge in Cambs is well known for the university, one of the most famous and prestigious in the world. The town also boasts some beautiful architecture - St. Benedicts Church is the oldest buiding in the country. A good way to take in the town is by punting on the River Cam.
