Berkshire

Days Out Berkshire & Things To Do Berks UK

Berkshire occupies about 500 square miles in the heart of Southern England. Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire border it in the north, Wiltshire in the west and Hampshire and Surrey to the south and east.

Berkshire consists of both rural land, such as the Cotswolds, and vibrant towns and cities. One of the best ways to view Berkshire's scenery is a cruise along the River Thames, which flows through Berks from Reading to Windsor.

Berkshire is of course sometimes referred to as 'Royal Berkshire', due to it's close links with the British Royal Family. Why not visit the famous 'Ladies Day' at Royal Ascot Racecourse, or Windsor Castle, the royal residence that is also home to a few ghosts!
